What
is a Sheet Metal Apprenticeship? |
A
Sheet Metal Apprentice is a person who spends 4 to 5 years working in
the Sheet Metal industry and at the same time attending training to
become a Journeyman Sheet Metal worker. During this time the Apprentice receives
excellent wages and benefits while at the same time learning a career
that will support them and their families for the rest of their lives. |
How
do I know if this is the right trade for me? |
If
you are the type of person who enjoys a challenge, likes to work with their
hands, likes to see a project completed, and wants a life long career
than you should take a serious look at this industry. |
How
much money does a Sheet Metal Apprentice make? |
Below
is a chart of the expected wages of an Apprentice. These calculations do
not include overtime or double time wages. An apprentice is required
800-1000 on the job work hours and to complete their related training
with a 70% or better to advance thru each term. |
